Designed by William Mooser III, this fully operational government facility replaced an earlier building destroyed by the 1925 earthquake. Construction finished in 1929 with a final cost of $1,368,000.

You can walk the halls for free or join a daily 1-hour docent-led tour. Since this is an active government building, all visitors must remain quiet and considerate while exploring.
